Truck Report 1/27/2012

Good morning, WoolFans!

The Pendleton truck visited us right on schedule and dropped off 200 pounds of fuzzy selvage -- just in time for select colors to go on sale! Starting tomorrow (Saturday the 28th) a few choice colors will be 50% off the regular price.

Another exciting thing going on this weekend: part one of our two-part Reversible Kid's Coat class. Visit the Classes tab at the top of the page for more information, and call the store at (503) 535-5786 if you'd like to join us!

I am making a selvage scrap crochet rug. Does this product felt up or not? Any advice would be great!

Hi Susan! We love rugs made from the fuzzy selvages... they're so nice on the toes.

The selvages will felt if washed in hot water -- the little threads sort of twist and felt together to make fun little tufts. It's a great look!

If you'd rather your rug stay loose and eyelashy, we suggest you wash your rug in cold water and dry without heat (like if your dryer has a "fluff" or "air dry" setting).

Hope that helps!
