Keep the Timberline Celebration Going

The Timberline Lodge 75th Anniversary Showcase and Trunk Show at the Woolen Mill Store on August 2nd is just the first of several events this year celebrating the rich history of Timberline Lodge.

  • Timberline Lodge will host a free concert and Heritage Fair on Monday, September 3rd. Enjoy live music starting at noon, mouth-watering barbeque, and a variety of activities for the whole family. Admission and parking are free. For more information, visit Timberline Lodge online.
  • Celebrate with the Friends of Timberline on Saturday, October 6th at their annual dinner and auction. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
  • Browse through a display of historic Timberline Lodge hand-hooked rugs at the newly renovated Sandy Library. Hooked on Heritage will be on display October 5th through December 2nd.
  • The hand-hooked rugs from Timberline Lodge will appear at the Art Institute in the Pearl District on the First Thursday in November.

The reception will feature demonstrations by weavers, rug hookers, and wood carvers who continue to be involved with the Timberline Lodge restoration efforts. Local authors Jonathan Tullis and Sarah Baker Munro will be on hand to sign copies of Timberline Lodge, A Love Story (Diamond Jubilee Edition) and Timberline Lodge, The History Art & Craft of an American Icon, respectively.

Timberline Lodge art and memorabilia -- including the Friends of Timberline Lodge Pendleton Blanket -- will be available for purchase. Proceeds will immediately benefit the current restoration project: Light Up the Art at Timberline.
