Traffic Alert: Sellwood Bridge Closure

If you will be visiting the Woolen Mill Store between January 17 and January 24, be advised that the Sellwood Bridge will be closed. For more information on the Sellwood Bridge closure and construction, visit SellwoodBridge.org.

Don't worry! There are lots of alternate routes that will get you safely to the Woolen Mill Store. Here are a few suggestions:

Cross the Willamette on the Ross Island Bridge -- or your other favorite bridge -- then head south on McLoughlin Blvd. (also known as 99E). You'll need to do the turn-around at Ochoco St. to get back onto the northbound side of McLoughlin Boulevard, where the Woolen Mill Store is. Look for the orange arches of the Springwater Corridor walking bridge over McLoughlin Boulevard as your landmark.

You can easily approach the store from the south from Interstate 205. Exit 9 is 99E/McLoughlin Boulevard -- the store is approximately 6 miles north on 99E. For a slightly faster ride, take Exit 13 for Highway 224 (also known as the Milwaukie Expressway), which will put you onto 99E/McLoughlin Boulevard about a mile south of the Woolen Mill Store.

The Sellwood Bridge Big Move also has suggestions for alternate travel routes for cars, bikes, and pedestrians.
