Staff Picks: Supernova Blanket

Our last staff pick of 2013 comes from our newest staff member: the Supernova Blanket.

Ancient sky watchers saw an exploding star -- a supernova -- in the summer of 1054 AD. This event was recorded around the world, and captured in pictographs in Chaco Canyon, New Mexico. The starburst images on the Supernova Blanket were inspired by the ancient artwork commemorating the blazing star and crescent moon in the pre-dawn sky.
