For the entire month of June 2014, we invite pet lovers of all ages to visit the Woolen Mill Store to make and take braided tug toys using Pendleton wooly worms.
Make one to donate to Fences for Fido and one to take home to the family pet. All materials have been donated by the Woolen Mill Store and participation is totally free! Help us beat our goal of donating 100 tug toys to charity.
Since 2009, Fences for Fido has had a mission to improve the quality of life for dogs in Oregon and SW Washington who spend most or all hours confined to a tether or small kennel. They provide a fenced yard and insulated shelter, plus spay/neuter surgery and urgent veterinary care as needed. Fences for Fido is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization run entirely by volunteers. Learn more about FFF on Facebook.
At the end of June, we'll be delivering a bounty of braided tugs -- all made from earth-friendly and pet-friendly wool...
...but we can't do it without your help.
If you can make a braid, you can do this. If you can't, we'll be thrilled to teach you! It will take less than five minutes of your time and cost you nothing. Bring the family, bring friends, and help us make a hundred toys during the Dog Days of Summer!
