For many years, Pendleton Woolen Mills has been supporting the American Indian College Fund with a special series of blankets.
The American Indian College Fund is a Native American organization dedicated to innovation and growth in education. Pendleton works closely with celebrated Native American artists from across the country to create authentic designs for blankets in our AICF series. These designs honor the beliefs and traditions of our original customers, Native Americans. A portion of the proceeds from sales of these blankets helps tribal colleges throughout the country.
Return of the Sun was inspired by the artwork of Larry Ahvakana and celebrates the arrival of the sun back to the Arctic lands. This robe blanket measures 64" by 80".
Thunderbird and Whale was also inspired by the artwork of Larry Ahvakana and tells the legend of the Great Spirit Eagle. This crib blanket measures 32" by 44".
Both blankets are available now at the Woolen Mill Store or online at the Pendleton website links above.
